Head of Public Fundraising

Robertson Bell Fundraising are assisting our Central London based charity client with the recruitment of their new Head of Public Fundraising. In this brand-new role within the organisation, you will lead on devising and implementing a new Public Fundraising strategy and deliver accompanying plans and budgets to deliver growing net income in line with our wider fundraising and engagement strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*With direct management of a team of three and a wider team of sixteen you will grow the number of Public Fundraising supporters and volunteers and maximise all the ways they can help the charity by building positive and sustainable relationships with them.
*Ensure the delivery of excellent supporter care across all audiences in the Public Fundraising programme
*To manage the performance and personal development of the Public Fundraising team
*Monitor and manage the teams’ budgets
*As a member of the leadership team build strong internal relationships at all levels within the organisation to ensure the work of the Public Fundraising Team is understood and actively supported by other teams.

We are looking for you to have/be;
*Extensive experience in one or more of the following: community/regional fundraising, mass participation product fundraising; treks/marathons/challenge event management, regional corporate fundraising, student engagement
*In-depth experience of strategic planning and budget setting in the complex range of activities under community/regional and events fundraising, with demonstrable successful delivery of annual and three-year plans and a demonstrable track record of growing income
*Experience of successfully developing and implementing supporter journeys to maximise net income, average gifts and repeat support
*Experience of implementing strategy and ability to lead, motivate and support the team through the implementation of a new strategy
*Ability to analyse the performance and key trends of complex programmes and produce clear proposals for improvements and growth
*Proven team leadership and working skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver large scale projects or events.
*Be creative and entrepreneurial with an innovative approach to work
*Have highly developed excel and numeracy skills with an excellent standard of computer literacy
*Proven ability to report up to management and stakeholders, understanding of key elements that would be essential to managing expectations.
