Robertson Bell is thrilled to be working with a fantastic public sector organisation in search of a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact while managing the financial operations across multiple areas.
In this Finance Manager role, you will:
- Oversee the financial management of three entities, liaising with senior stakeholders to discuss budgets and ensure everything is accounted for and managed smoothly.
- Take charge of processing purchase orders, approving payment runs, and keeping finances on track.
- Produce monthly management accounts and present reports to senior leadership, advising on budget matters and supporting grant management.
- Assist with year-end financial preparations, ensuring everything is ready for audit.
- Provide line management to two Finance Officers, offering guidance and support as they develop their skills.
- Collaborate closely with other finance teams during transition periods and maintain calm, steady leadership.
The role is based on a hybrid working pattern, with flexible hours, and offers a great opportunity to lead financial operations in the public sector!

- Are AAT Level 4 qualified (or working towards it) or have an equivalent degree.
- Have significant finance management experience, preferably in the public or not-for-profit sectors, with broader sector experience also considered.
- Have strong line management experience and are confident producing management accounts and budget monitoring reports.
- Can communicate effectively with senior leaders and are comfortable working autonomously.
