This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key finance role at the heart of a major building safety programme. Sitting directly within the operational department rather than a central finance team, you will be closely connected to the work on the ground, influencing decisions, shaping delivery and providing real-time financial insight. It’s a role that combines meaningful impact, professional autonomy, and the chance to support one of the sector’s most fast-moving and high-profile programmes.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain detailed reporting for a large-scale multi-year capital programme
  • Produce accurate forecasts, with clear visibility of risks, cost movements and delivery impacts
  • Assess project expenditure and value for money, ensuring strong financial controls and evidence
  • Deliver financial modelling to test different delivery scenarios and support long-term planning
  • Provide informed recommendations to guide financial and operational strategy
  • Act as the primary finance lead within the project team, communicating financial insight clearly and effectively
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and contribute confidently to discussion and decision-making
  • Identify risks and opportunities early and propose practical solutions
  • Review and improve financial processes, reporting and controls to modernise and strengthen financial management

What you’ll need

  • A full accountancy qualification
  • Over five years post-qualification experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance
  • Strong forecasting, modelling and variance analysis skills
  • Experience of identifying financial risks and opportunities for performance improvement
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
