Robertson Bell are proud to be partnering with this well-established Housing Association in their search for a Finance Business Partner to join the dynamic team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Business Partnering, you will hold a crucial role within the organisation and be responsible for building successful working relationships with a variety of senior stakeholders whilst being provided with the opportunity to develop within the role and take on additional responsibilities.  

The key duties of this Finance Business Partnering role are as follows:

  • Sole charge for the preparation of consolidated management accounts to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Play a crucial role in the organisation’s business partnering and reporting function, providing first-class financial support to all stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of the organisation’s annual budget and lead the forecasting process.
  • Influence key senior members of the organisation to ensure alignment with the organisational strategy is maintained and financial sustainability is prioritised.
  • Provide invaluable support in the year end procedures and ad hoc project work.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering where required.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a bright and ambitious candidate who is seeking to make the next step in progressing their career as a Finance Business Partner. The successful candidate will join a high performing function, where driving efficiencies is prioritised. Eventually, this post will become the Line Manager for the Assistant Finance Business Partners in the team, being responsible for their developments and performance. My client has also adopted a flexible approach to working and is able to offer financial study support.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Part Qualified or actively studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification.
  • Experienced in producing a full set of management accounts and the production of budgets.
  • Confident communicating complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A self-starter who is eager to learn and progress within a role.
  • Ideally experienced working in the social housing sector, however this is by no means essential so candidates without this experience are still encouraged to apply.
