Robertson Bell Finance are working with a major medical Charity to recruit a Finance Business Partner to work closely to their commercial function based in Cambridgeshire. With this function being relocated to the area, the role will allow the postholder to be a very visible and central person in the commercial side of the Charity and therefore will appeal to outgoing candidates looking to further their career in the Charity sector.
The role will be responsible for producing Management Accounts for the commercial side of the business and will identify risks and opportunities through a technical analysis of data. By assessing trends and conducting variance analysis, this role will be responsible for much of the forward thinking that will be crucial to ongoing commercial developments. You will provide senior management with reports, commentary, budgeting and forecasting to influence strategic direction.
You will be responsible for three Finance Admin Officers, who will assist in producing some of the data to be used in your reports. You will regularly meet with budget holders to assist with budget preparation and challenge them on the use of their budgets – therefore you will need to have robust business partnering experience from either a commercial or Charity background.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (CCAB) with staff management experience within a commercially minded Charity/commercial organisation. You will also have excellent communication skills and a proven history of influencing budget holders and producing reliable management accounts.
