My client is a leading public sector organisation, with offices nationwide but also offering a large amount of homeworking, looking for an Assurance Associate to join the team in a broad role filled with fantastic development potential.

The main responsibilities of the Assurance Associate are as follows:

  • Liaise closely with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, providing them with expert risk, assurance and compliance related advice to ensure the best practice possible is adhered to across the organisation.
  • Full responsibility for ensuring that assurance assignments within your portfolio, are delivered within organisational methodology and in a timely manner.
  • Play a leading role in the restructuring of numerous risk, assurance and compliance related policies, procedures, methodologies and processes, then training staff on these once they have been implemented.
  • Hold a key role in ensuring that organisational approach to risk management, assurance and compliance is continuously improved with the highest possible output being achieved.

The successful candidate for the Assurance Associate role will have:

  • Completed a professionally recognised audit, accountancy or risk management qualification (IIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IRM, etc.).
  • Practical experience within an assurance, audit or risk focused role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
