Robertson Bell are partnering with this large public sector organisation whilst they recruit to this new and permanent Finance Business Partner role. Following a huge expansion in budgets the financial services team now needs additional resource and someone to lead on stakeholder engagement focusing on the capital directorate. Duties for this role will include:

  • Work closely with senior managers across the organisation ensuring they understand their budgets and stay on track with spending.
  • Lead on the monitoring and reporting of programmes.
  • Review and revamp current ways of reporting focusing on creating less labour-intensive processes.
  • Ensure all reporting is delivered on time and accurately in a clear and concise format.
  • Understand potential risks to programmes and ensure these are minimised.
  • Recognise variances and escalate these to the Head of Financial Services as necessary.
  • Work closely with the capital resource group, the Head of Financial Services and the Capital Technical Accountant.

This full time Finance Business Partner role will ensure relevant financial controls are in place and will play a part in crucial strategic decisions. The role will be based from the organisations head office near Eastbourne however the successful candidate will only be required to travel into the office twice a week. This role comes with a fantastic pension scheme and generous annual leave.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally be actively studying towards a finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA)
  • Have proven finance business partner experience.
  • Be an excellent communicator and the ability to liaise with internal and external staff of all levels.
  • Have previously worked in a large and complex organisation.
  • Be solutions driven and a self-starter.
