Do you thrive in roles where you can engage in senior level projects that impact success in all areas of an organisation? Do you apply a strategic Business Partnering mindset with the ability to see the big picture while also getting into the little details? Do you have a Housing or Property Finance background that you’re looking to take to an employer with an excellent reputation?

My client is a leader in the Housing sector that is enjoying a sustained growth period, having performed especially well during the pandemic. Positive change is afoot and this role will be highly influential in guaranteeing success in all parts of the business.

Key elements of the Finance Business Partner (Projects) role include:

  • Being the finance lead on numerous internal projects that reach all areas of the business, making changes, improving processes, and problem solving – juggling multiple projects at once and taking on new projects upon completion of existing work
  • Behaving as a key Finance Business Partner with scope of influence across the entire organisation; supporting, challenging and influencing senior management to pass through your recommendations for change, focusing on value for money and efficiency
  • Working closely with staff at all levels to effectively manage projects through to completion
  • Providing high level financial information, such as appraisal of new business strategies, including financial modelling, scenario modelling, and stress testing of plans, in order to allow the organisation to evolve into new business areas and improve its already successful way of working.

This is a rare chance to take on a role with a job description that will genuinely change month-on-month depending on the work required. The consistent themes will be recommending and implementing improvements, being visible across the entire organisation, and working independently and with project teams to achieve success.

The successful applicant will enjoy a flexible working culture, with home-working highly encouraged once the pandemic is over. Due to the nature of the role, presence on site will be essential, but you will be in a position to direct your own working strategies as needed.

To be considered, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (essential) with experience in large, complex organisations
  • Have senior level experience in the Housing, Property or Real Estate sector, with a wide exposure to various parts of these businesses resulting in a deep understanding of best practices and how to implement them
  • Be a confident Project Accountant and Finance Business Partner with the gravitas to influence senior management, including having exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Excel skills are also a must.

Please apply immediately to be considered as this post can come off the market as soon as the right candidate is found!
