As Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate income allocation, strong financial controls, and smooth financial operations across the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys accuracy, organisation, and delivering excellent financial support — ensuring reliable processes that underpin both strategic and day-to-day activity.

 

What you’ll gain

A permanent role with real ownership and responsibility. Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Team Leader and supporting senior finance leadership, you will contribute to reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and financial compliance.

What you’ll do

  • Manage incoming payments and reconcile income promptly

  • Upload evidence and maintain accurate financial records

  • Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow forecasts

  • Reconcile credit card and similar corporate card purchases

  • Issue sales invoices and monitor Aged Debtors

  • Support day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

  • Liaise with auditors and work closely with other finance teams

  • Assist with procurement data and general finance tasks

  • Undertake CPD and support finance projects as required

What you’ll need

  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • GCSE English and Maths (grade 4+ or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a busy office environment with strong customer service focus

  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong IT skills

  • Good communication, organisation, and time-management

  • A positive team player with strong work ethic and initiative

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain strong working relationships

  • Flexibility and a solutions-focused approach
