Robertson Bell are supporting a large, complex organisation in their search for a Senior Payroll Officer to join their established finance team on a permanent basis.
This is a key role within a payroll function supporting over 2,500 staff, offering the opportunity to act as the right-hand support to the Payroll Manager and take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes.
The role:
- Deliver accurate monthly payroll for a large workforce (2,000+ employees)
- Take ownership of RTI submissions and ensure timely PAYE payments
- Manage pension processes including submissions, reconciliations, and changes
- Oversee starters and leavers, ensuring all data is processed accurately
- Act as a key escalation point within a paperless payroll helpdesk environment
- Support continuous improvement within an integrated payroll system (Cascade)
- Provide cover across the full payroll cycle and step into broader responsibilities when required
The role offers hybrid working, 3 days in the Berkshire office, 2 from home.
The successful candidate:
- Experienced in end-to-end payroll within a large, high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of RTI, PAYE, and pension administration
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex payroll queries
- Comfortable working across integrated systems, ideally Cascade
