Year End Accountant - Remote - Charity

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic accountant with extensive experience with SORP? Are you a fully qualified accountant who could hit the ground running to lead a large national charity through their year end? Are you a proactive and diligent finance professional with a strong track record of delivering a successful audit? If yes, read on!

Robertson Bell is once again partnering with a large national charity to recruit an Interim Year End Accountant to join them for an initial six months contract to lead their year end and audit process. This is an urgent requirement, pffering remote working, with travel to the London office once a month max.

The main responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant include:

• Act as a key point of contact for the external auditors during the year end process and ensure any recommendations are implemented in a timely fashion.
• Attend the Finance and Audit Committee meetings, presenting the accounts and answering any follow up queries as required.
• Lead the preparation of annual accounts.
• Ensure that all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for and reflected in the finance system.

The successful candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant in ACA or ACCA.
• Experienced producing year-end accounts in line with SORP.
• A first-class communicator with excellent Excel skills.

Charity experience is essential for this role.
