As the Founder and CEO of Robertson Bell, Stuart leads the overall direction and strategy of the business. His hands on approach is uncommon as is his aspiration to grow and expand the business primarily through an Academy model.  Stuart prides himself on creating opportunity and supporting and developing his team, something that is demonstrated by the fact that every Manager at Robertson Bell has been promoted from within. 

James joined the business in November 2023 to help drive Robertson Bell’s growth. Before this James spent 17 years working for an international recruitment agency where amongst other high profile leadership roles he ran their public sector and not for profit businesses when it was one of the most successful divisions globally. He recruited into the social housing sector growing it into a market leading practice whilst personally recruiting over 60 high profile CFO/Director of Resources roles across this period. More recently James has been running one of the UK’s leading residential recruitment businesses. His primary focus is on customer experience and staff development.

After graduating from University, Matt joined Robertson Bell in July 2014 as part of our academy program. It didn’t take long for him to show a real passion and flare for recruitment, one that has seen him go on to become the Director of our Growth team. Matt's unwavering high standards, incredible knowledge of our sectors and enthusiastic approach enable him to be a highly efficient and successful leader, popular with clients, candidates and of course, his team. 

Having held senior operational and talent development positions in two global brands Jacqui brings a wealth of knowledge to the leadership team here at Robertson Bell.  Whether she is training a new recruit or helping a member of the team set their personal goals, her passion and enthusiasm is infectious. She is passionate about helping people realise their potential and establish their goals; and makes it a priority to get to know each new recruit to enhance their development at Robertson Bell.

Heading up our Client Relationship team Mark currently works with not for profit and public sector organisations looking to expand their finance teams.  Mark’s enthusiastic and positive personality combined with his excellent communication skills and knowledge of the sector have enabled him to build strong relationships with clients and candidates. A popular and well-respected member of the RB team Mark joined Robertson Bell in 2016 after playing professional football for Kettering Town for 3 years.

Katie is the Manager of the permanent team specialising in permanent roles within the Charity & Housing and wider not for profit Sector and began her career as a Recruitment Consultant within Accountancy & Finance over seven and a half years ago. Since joining Robertson Bell, Katie has ensured seamless recruitment and onboarding processes are always delivered and she prides herself on delivering excellent customer service to both candidates and clients at all times. She’s also had the chance to lead on several successful retained campaigns for high profile clients that we’ve been proud to work with.

Stuart is our Interim Team Manager leading on interim recruitment within the Social Housing sector. After joining the business in early 2018, he established himself quickly as a leading consultant with a real skill at pairing talented individuals with successful organisations. Promoted to a Manager in 2021, Stuart has a well-established network and is the go-to person for housing sector knowledge, providing his clients with the best talent the market has to offer.

Mohini graduated with a First-Class Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics which lead to her working in finance for 2 and a half years in an investment and acquisitions role. She also gained a certificate in Financial Modelling and Valuation Analysis from the Corporate Finance Institute. Mohini’s background, and analytical mind has proved invaluable in her role to dissect client’s requirements and match these to candidates with the perfect skillset. She manages our interim team and specialises in the charity sector.

After spending four years in the Recruitment industry in Australia, Chloe moved back to the UK and now manages Robertson Bell’s Business Operations team. As Business Operations Manager, Chloe oversees candidate compliance and payroll, ensures we are up to date with all legal requirements, provides internal recruits with a seamless joining process, is responsible for many areas relating to our internal employees and makes sure that the operational day to day tasks within the business are completed to a high standard.

Working within our Client Relationship team Andy specialises in roles within the Government and Education Sector. After graduating from the RB academy in 2016, it didn’t take long for Andy to make a real impact. He has worked tirelessly day in and out to forge and develop our name and as a result he was promoted to Business Manager in December 2019 as recognition for his exceptional efforts. Andy is known both internally and by our clients for providing an incomparable level of service.

James joined Robertson Bell in 2019 and has gone on to build a fantastic network of candidates and clients. Focusing on interim roles within the government sector he has shown a skill for providing exceptional customer service, consistently receiving positive feedback from candidates and clients alike. This continuous positive feedback paired with his dedication to Robertson Bell resulted in James being promoted to Business Manager in July 2021.  James's ability to work extremely quickly whilst maintaining high quality has seen him become a go to for many of our clients who are looking to secure great people, fast.

After completing a BA in Geography and enjoying several months living and working as an English teacher in Vietnam, Kathryn  decided to return to the UK and found her place at Robertson Bell. Specialising in permanent roles within the UK and international charity market, Kathryn has flourished in her role which resulted in her being promoted to Business Manager in 2023. Kathryn prides herself on being a transparent, genuine recruiter who adds value to the sector she truly cares about.

Lesley joined Robertson Bell in 2013 specialising in the recruitment of fundraising professionals, after working in recruitment for over 20 years, it was time for a change of direction. With her exceptional organisational skills, it was only fitting that she move into an EA role to support our CEO. Lesley also adopted the role of Head of Collections, keeping her in contact with our clients, an interaction that she hugely enjoys.

Rovinj joined Robertson Bell in 2021 with experience working in organising events for clients that work within the not for profit sector. Rov’s elite sporting background has made her a focused and hardworking individual. With an eye for detail and determination to exceed expectations, she joins the Operations team and supports our consultants to ensure clients and candidates receive the best level of service possible.

Emma joined Robertson Bell in 2022 after she graduated from University of Lincon, studying English and Creative Writing. Her knowledge and background within customer service roles, combinded with her strong motivation has enabled her to thrive and add value to our permanent team here at Robertson Bell.

Joining our Client Relationship Team in 2022, Sam fixates on providing the best service to our clients in the Education sector. His background working for the Ministry of Justice, and becoming the WPFG Bench Press World Champion in 2022, demonstrates his focused and continuous drive, enabling him to provide impressive results for our clients.

Before joining Robertson Bell in 2022, Katie gained a vast amount of experience in customer service and care when working for Estee Lauder and ASOS. Following her studies of Creative Direction at university, her caring and confident manner elevates the Temporary recruitment team. Katie prides herself on supporting both her candidates and clients when recruiting into the Charity sector.

After completing her A-levels, Nicola’s journey started at Robertson Bell in 2021 as our Operations Apprentice. Her eye for detail and enthusiasm to learn, has made her an instrumental part of the Operations team, and she is regularly relied on by consultants to produce high-quality collateral and material for our clients and candidates in addition to her work supporting our contractors.

Lilly joined RB at the beginning of 2023 as our Operations Apprentice. Her enthusiasm to learn and attention to detail has made her a great addition to the Operations team. She manages her time well, whilst regularly being relied on to complete day to day tasks within the business to a high standard.

After travelling the US, Caitlin found a place at Robertson Bell in 2023. Previous work experience in consultation for the Retail market has given her a wealth of experience in building relationships with clients and providing great quality service. Her interest in understanding organisations within the Public Sector has made her a great addition to the Client Relations team.

Alyssa comes with extensive experience within both recruitment and telecommunications, prior to joining RB in 2023. She prides herself in providing a high-quality candidate experience and building strong relationships with candidates. Her ability to meet tight deadlines makes her an asset to our team in this pressurised environment.

Prior to joining Robertson Bell in 2024, Leonardo studied journalism at The University of Portsmouth. Throughout his studies, he leveraged his inquisitive and curious nature, gaining valuable work experience with several football clubs on the south coast. This hands-on experience allowed him to develop a keen understanding of journalistic methods and how they can be effectively applied within the recruitment industry. His unique blend of skills and interests has made him a valuable asset to the permanent team.

Prior to joining RB in 2024, Phoebe spent 8 years as a self-employed beautician, building strong relationships with her clients and refining her interpersonal skills. Now, as a member of the temporary recruitment team, she finds fulfilment in helping both candidates and clients within the charity sector.

After working for three years in Local Government as a Business Manager, where she helped individuals return to work, Rabia decided to bring her transferable skills, expertise, and passion to Robertson Bell. Her degree in Politics and Public Relations has equipped her with extensive experience in building client relationships and crafting creative solutions to their challenges. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes, Rabia consistently delivers an exceptional service to our clients.

Mel joined RB in 2024, bringing over four years of experience in Talent Acquisition. With a proven track record in sourcing, attracting, and developing top-tier professionals across Finance and various niche sectors, she excels in managing large-scale recruitment processes with ease. Mel's core strength lies in building and nurturing relationships. She is dedicated to connecting the right individuals with the right opportunities and seeing them succeed. Her relationship-driven approach and expertise have made her a valuable addition to our Research team.

Gen joined Robertson Bell in 2024, bringing with her 12 years of agency recruitment experience spanning Finance and other sectors. Her deep expertise in candidate sourcing and relationship-building makes her a valuable addition to the team. Outside of work, Gen enjoys baking and cooking, adding a personal flair to her diverse skill set.

As Robertson Bell’s first ever employee (joining in 2009!) Michael brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and skill to the team. Michael’s focus is on placing permanent, senior finance appointments within the largest education establishments, government departments and non-departmental public bodies. He has a strong reputation within the industry and is well respected by CEOs, Finance Directors and senior HR professionals alike. His approach is thorough, rigorous and consultative.
