Temporary Year End Support

Are you an experienced charity finance professional ready to start your next contract ASAP? Do you have what it takes to hit the ground running in a small and hands-on finance team to provide crucial support in year-end? Interested in working on automation projects? If yes, read on.

My client is urgently looking for a Temporary Financial Controller to join the charity as soon as possible, at least until the end of July. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will help to lead the finance team through year-end and take ownership of production of management accounts.

The main responsibilities of the Temporary Financial Controller include:

• Produce the monthly management accounts from March, including posting journals and investigating variances on actual figures vs budgeted.
• Lead on the final close down of year end, particularly focusing on deferred income and ensuring all accounts are reconciled.
• Partner with the Director of Operations to identify and implement automation improvements on the management accounting and budgeting via Sage Intacct.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Charity accounting expert to join a dynamic team and work with a passionate line manager. The role is based in Central London two days per week and working from home the rest.

The successful candidate will be:

• Qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experienced in producing statutory accounts in line with Charity SORP.
• Able to produce a full set of management accounts.
• Demonstrate practical experience of working with Sage.
