Robertson Bell are partnering exclusively with this international charity as they recruit a permanent Senior Programme Finance Officer. You'll be at the heart of their mission, overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects and ensuring financial integrity at every step.

In this Senior Programme Finance Officer role, you will:

  • Work across a broad portfolio spanning Eastern Africa and Afghanistan, you'll be the first port-of-call between fundraising and grant managers, project accountants, and programme teams.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure that budgets are adhered to, variances are monitored, and any scope changes are effectively managed and reported against.
  • Be the driving force in the production of donor reports for corporate foundations and government grants, ensuring to liaise with Programme Managers to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with the fundraising team and programme stakeholders to develop proposal budgets, informing them on staffing allocations, project timelines, and resource needs, ensuring they’re in alignment with donor requirements and organisational goals.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for joining the not-for-profit sector.

  • Ideally, have a minimum of two years of experience in a small organisation with involvement in international projects.
  • Have a background in an Assistant Accountant position where you have undertaken the production of financial reports and can comprehend the wider financial landscape of the organisation.
