We are collaborating with a small and supportive organisation in the education sector to identify their next Finance Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in budget management, strategic planning, and financial administration to support the organization's growth and success.

 

Responsibilities for the role will include:

•              Collaborate closely with the CEO and school leadership team to ensure financial objectives are aligned with educational goals.

•              Lead budget negotiations, monitor budgetary controls, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

•              Develop and execute an effective financial strategy that supports the organisation's objectives.

•              Prepare management accounts, statutory returns, and budget reports.

•              Oversee the online finance system and provide support to school staff on financial matters.

•              Partner with site teams to manage budgets and provide financial insights for decision-making.

•              Mentor and manage finance and administrative staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and high standards.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on education through effective financial management. This permanent Finance Manager will be based from the main office, ten minutes from Wanstead and will require regular office attendance. The post holder will benefit from a local authority pension scheme.

 

The successful candidatewill have:

•              Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting within a school or academy.

•              Familiarity with financial systems.

•              Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

•              An ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and contribute to strategic planning.

•              Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity.
