Robertson Bell are proud to be working with a fantastic Public sector organisation as they go out to market for an Interim Assistant Procurement Manager on an initial six month contract. The successful candidate will have the chance to gain new experiences in the procurement function, as well as take on additional challenges that will look excellent on their CV, whilst working on a flexible hybrid working pattern of three days a week in the office.

The Interim Assistant Procurement Manager’s key responsibilities will be;

  • Keeping the procurement function running smoothly and making suggestions on where improvements could be made on the current policies and procedures.
  • Helping to shape what the procurement function should look like by taking charge on tasks such as formulating a new PSL and having input in financial regulations in procurement.
  • Overseeing and regularly updating the contract register.
  • Ensuring the organisation is compliant with all procurement frameworks.
  • Issuing procurement tenders.

The successful candidate will have;

  • An understanding of procurement within the public sector.
  • A friendly, and pro-active approach to their day-to-day tasks.
  • Be immediately available, or on a short notice period.
