Robertson Bell are partnering with this growing charitable organisation as they recruit an Accounts Payable Officer on a permanent basis. This role sits within a supportive team that is dedicated to developing their employees and will surely help any prospective candidate meet their full potential!

In this role you will be:

  • Taking full-ownership of the accounts payable function from start to finish, processing complex invoices in a multitude of currencies.
  • Maintaining critical oversight of the preparation of weekly payment plans, processing and paying grants to organisations that align themselves with this organisation’s mission.
  • Providing essential support in the production of statutory accounts for year-end by offering insight into all things accounts payable.
  • Taking the lead in the production of month-end accounts by processing bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and drafting accruals and prepayments.
  • Provide insight into the inner workings of the accounts payable process, identifying and implementing improvements to improve working efficiencies.

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in an Accounts Payable role, having led a payment run from end-to-end.
  • Understanding of, or experience in, processing Accounts Payable invoices with multiple currencies.
  • Experience or thorough understanding of grants, preferably within a not-for-profit organisation, however, highly capable candidates from other sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Good I.T and Excel skills with the ability to pick up new systems easily such as Agresso, MS Dynamics or Xero.
  • A can-do attitude, a keen eye for detail, great communication skills and a friendly and personable demeanour.
