Pat Ritchie CBE is an experienced senior leader in economic development, housing, and property, and is Chair of the GPA.
Pat was appointed to Chair of the GPA in January 2020. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the National Leadership Centre and a member of Newcastle University Council.

Mark Bourgeois has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) working closely with the agency’s Board and executive team – maintaining momentum on its work to deliver a smaller, better-connected, better-quality and greener government property estate.
Mark brings over 30 years’ experience in strategic and operational leadership across investment, development and asset management within commercial real estate. This includes roles as Managing Director for the UK and Ireland division at FTSE listed developer and investor Hammerson plc.

Nick Brown joined the Government Property Agency (the GPA) in May 2023 as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Nick uses his experience gained in leadership roles, including a role he held at Magdalen College, Oxford as interim CFO, to support the continued evolution of the GPA into a best-in-class commercial real estate organisation.
Nick previously worked at M&G Real Estate, where he held the same role, and brings more than 30 years’ experience in finance and property investment, development and management gained principally in the commercial sector.

Nick joined the GPA in early 2020 bringing the breadth of his years of Civil Service experience from his time at the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Serving as Head of Finance Function, Nick consistently strives to bring commercial expertise and insight into the government central estate.
