Year End Accountant
Are you an experienced charity finance leader with a strong track record of delivering successful year-ends? Do you have the expertise to manage audit processes with confidence and minimal handover? Can you step into a short-term assignment and provide immediate stability and oversight?
A charity is seeking an experienced Interim Year End Accountant to provide focused support through a critical year-end and audit period. This role is centred on ensuring a smooth close process, maintaining compliance, and acting as the key contact for auditors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the year-end close process and overseeing preparation of statutory accounts
- Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors to ensure an efficient audit
- Ensuring all financial reporting and compliance requirements are met
- Providing ad hoc financial insight and support to senior stakeholders
- Maintaining strong oversight of financial controls during the period
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience within charity finance, with a strong focus on year-end and audit delivery
- Proven experience operating at a senior finance leadership level
- Familiarity with Sun Accounting or similar finance systems
- Ability to work autonomously and quickly gain oversight with minimal onboarding
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Must be able to start W/C 9th March
This is a focused interim assignment suited to a hands-on finance leader who can provide immediate impact during a critical reporting period.
