Are you a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting expertise and a track record of delivering statutory accounts under the Charities SORP? Do you have the ability to combine high-quality financial reporting with effective business partnering? Are you available to join an organisation on an interim basis and provide immediate support across a diverse portfolio?

A charitable organisation is seeking an Interim Senior Finance Manager to join on an initial 3–6 month contract. This is a broad role with responsibility for financial reporting, business partnering and supporting the financial management of a portfolio of entities.

The successful candidate must be willing to travel to the Victoria office between 2–4 days per week.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and overseeing statutory accounts in accordance with the Charities SORP
  • Leading management reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes across a portfolio of entities
  • Preparing financial summaries and delivering meaningful insight to senior stakeholders
  • Acting as a trusted finance business partner, supporting operational and strategic decision-making
  • Monitoring cash flow, liquidity and wider financial performance across the portfolio
  • Supporting year-end activities and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and reporting requirements
  • Building strong relationships with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders across the organisation

The successful candidate will have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – qualified by experience candidates cannot be considered
  • Significant experience preparing statutory accounts under the Charities SORP
  • Strong finance business partnering experience, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
  • A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to quickly add value in an interim environment
