Robertson Bell are supporting an organisation that requires an experienced Temporary Finance and Administration Officer to provide urgent cover across finance, operations and internal administration. This is a hands-on interim role, ideal for someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable working across multiple workstreams in a lean environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day financial administration, coordinating meetings and events, and supporting contract and grant-related activity during a busy period.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices, supporting supplier payments and preparing sales invoices.
  • Reviewing consultant timesheets and invoices prior to approval.
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops and associated logistics, including travel and catering.
  • Providing administrative support to governance meetings, including minute-taking.
  • Supporting grant and consultancy administration, including reporting reviews and tracking activity.
  • Delivering general office and operational support, including HR, IT and diary coordination.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have 2–3 years’ experience in a finance and administrative role.
  • Be confident supporting financial and contractual processes.
  • Bring strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Be an effective communicator, able to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Be immediately available or able to start at short notice.

Experience within the not-for-profit sector or supporting international activity would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is an urgent interim requirement offering fully remote working and varied responsibility from day one.
