About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Finance Officer to support the delivery of an effective and high-quality finance service. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Support financial controls and monitoring systems to safeguard organisational interests
- Collect, process, and analyse financial data to support decision-making
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of financial and management information
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and financial management processes
- Support team development, including involvement in recruitment and performance management
- Participate in projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a finance-related role
- Strong ability to analyse data and solve problems effectively
- Experience working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
- Good understanding of financial regulations and current practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to extract and interpret data from financial systems
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (intermediate level), Word, and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths)
