About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Finance Officer to support the delivery of an effective and high-quality finance service. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Support financial controls and monitoring systems to safeguard organisational interests
  • Collect, process, and analyse financial data to support decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of financial and management information
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and financial management processes
  • Support team development, including involvement in recruitment and performance management
  • Participate in projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a finance-related role
  • Strong ability to analyse data and solve problems effectively
  • Experience working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Good understanding of financial regulations and current practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to extract and interpret data from financial systems
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (intermediate level), Word, and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • AAT qualification (or working towards)
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths)
