Robertson Bell are partnering with an organisation seeking an interim Project Accountant to support their finance team for an initial 3–6 month assignment. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, this role will focus on grant and project accounting, reconciliations and ensuring financial activity aligns with funding requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing project and grant reconciliations, reallocating costs to the correct funding streams.
- Analysing data to ensure compliance with external funder terms and internal policies.
- Setting up new projects and attending budget meetings to offer financial insight and support.
- Managing day-to-day finance queries from non-finance stakeholders.
The successful candidate will:
- Be part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Have at least two years’ experience in management accounting or project accounting.
- Be confident working with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ideally have experience with research, project-based or grant-funded environments.
- Be proactive, organised and comfortable working independently.
- Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
