Procurement Manager

 We’re looking for a commercially minded procurement professional to join a growing and evolving organisation at an exciting point of change.

This is a hands-on Procurement Manager role, managing a varied portfolio of procurement activity while helping to develop a more strategic and commercially focused approach.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and delivering formal procurement projects from scoping through to completion.
• Working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and develop effective procurement solutions.
• Managing multiple projects, maintaining momentum and keeping programmes on track.
• Ensuring procurement activity meets relevant public sector procurement requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, ways of working and commercial outcomes.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing practical procurement advice.

We’re keen to speak to people who can demonstrate:

• Experience delivering formal procurement projects.
• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement processes.
• Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset.
• Confidence working with and influencing stakeholders.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and keep things moving.
• A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach.

Experience within property, construction, housing, local government or a related environment would be highly desirable, although we’re open to candidates with strong transferable experience.
