A commercially focused not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Procurement Manager to join its close-knit, high-performing team. This is a genuine CV-enhancing opportunity with clear, supported succession planning to Head of Procurement built in from day one.

The position is permanent and offers hybrid working, with two days in the office and three from home.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering end-to-end procurement activity across a varied and exciting category portfolio.
  • Managing and developing a Procurement Officer.
  • Working closely with a Contracts Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle.
  • Leading a stakeholder engagement roadshow to raise the profile and credibility of the procurement function across the organisation.
  • Building trusted relationships with budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • Leading the re-procurement of a pipeline of significant, high-value contracts.
  • Taking ownership of tenders from start to finish, managing compliant procurement processes independently.

The Person

  • Have a genuine ambition to progress into a Head of Procurement role.
  • Enjoy working across a broad range of procurement categories and are curious and resourceful when tackling unfamiliar areas.
  • Can confidently influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and build strong working relationships.
  • Are able to manage your own workload, take ownership of a pipeline, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Value being part of a close-knit, supportive team and enjoy building positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contract Regulations, with the ability to independently manage compliant tender processes.
  • Hold CIPS Level 4 or be working towards it. Equivalent hands-on procurement experience will also be considered.
  • Have experience within the not-for-profit sector, although this isn't essential. If you have a strong grounding in regulated public procurement, we'll help you build the sector knowledge.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact while developing into a future Head of Procurement, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
