Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with a well-established international charity to recruit a Part-Time Finance Officer on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive finance team in a varied transactional finance role. Following the departure of the current postholder, you'll take ownership of the organisation's purchase ledger function, ensuring supplier invoices and employee expenses are processed accurately and efficiently. After an initial onboarding period with increased office attendance, the role offers the flexibility of just one day per week in the office.
This position would suit someone looking to build a long-term career in finance. Whether you're an experienced Finance Assistant, an Accounts Payable professional or a graduate looking to take your first step into finance, full training will be provided.
The Role
- Manage the purchase ledger inbox, responding to internal and external finance queries.
- Process approximately 200–250 supplier invoices each week, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Process employee expenses, including mileage, travel and healthcare claims.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and support routine finance processes.
- Order stationery and manage associated supplier transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records using Microsoft Business Central.
- Work closely with colleagues across the UK and internationally to provide an excellent finance service.
The Organisation
Our client is a respected international charity with operations in more than 45 countries. You'll join a close-knit finance team where collaboration, teamwork and supporting one another are central to the culture. This is an organisation that values its people and offers a stable, supportive environment where you'll quickly become a valued member of the team.
About You
- Some previous finance or accounts experience would be advantageous, particularly within purchase ledger or accounts payable.
- Alternatively, graduates or candidates looking to begin a career in finance are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with a friendly and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable managing routine processes with accuracy and consistency.
- Experience using finance systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
This role offers a salary of £26,000 FTE (£15,900 actual), 21 hours per week, hybrid working with one day per week in the office following the initial training period, and the opportunity to join a welcoming international charity with excellent work-life balance.
If you're looking for a flexible part-time finance opportunity within a supportive organisation where you can develop your skills and make a meaningful contribution, we'd love to hear from you.
