Management Reporting Accountant

London | Minimum 2 days per week onsite (more during probation) | £45,000 + excellent benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and purpose driven organisation at an exciting point in its finance transformation journey. Following the implementation of a new finance system, the team is continuing to strengthen its reporting capability and is looking for a technically minded finance professional to play a key role in delivering high quality financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting better decision making across the organisation.

You’ll join a collaborative finance team in a role offering broad exposure across management reporting, financial accounting, systems development and stakeholder engagement. This position would suit someone who enjoys combining strong accounting fundamentals with systems and reporting expertise, and is looking to further develop their technical skillset in a highly respected organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely production of management information for senior stakeholders
  • Develop and enhance reporting outputs using Power BI to improve insight, accessibility and usability of financial data
  • Oversee key month end activities including reconciliations, review processes and maintaining reporting accuracy
  • Work closely with internal systems and technology teams to improve data flows and reporting functionality
  • Prepare external financial submissions and support compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Produce and maintain short and medium term cashflow forecasts to support financial planning
  • Provide financial modelling support for capital projects and wider operational initiatives
  • Manage accounting activity relating to specific income streams, including reconciliations, journals and reporting analysis
  • Support audit processes and contribute to strengthening financial controls across the function
  • Identify opportunities to refine reporting processes and improve data integrity

What you’ll need

  • Part qualified accountant and actively progressing towards full qualification
  • Strong grounding in management accounting and month end reporting processes
  • Experience using finance systems confidently within a complex environment
  • Exposure to Power BI reporting, data modelling or financial systems reporting tools
  • Good understanding of core accounting principles including accruals and cashflow forecasting
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with strong attention to detail
