Join a purpose-driven charity as their new permanent Management Accountant. You’ll own central management reporting, produce insightful analysis for senior leaders and trustees, and help shape processes to make financial information more accurate, accessible and actionable.
This role offers a unique blend of core reporting responsibilities and hands-on project work from improving data structures and developing automated reporting tools to influencing how financial insight supports strategic decision-making across the organisation.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare monthly management accounting packs and consolidated reports for trustees and senior stakeholders.
- Produce insightful commentary and analysis to explain movements, trends, and variances.
- Lead quarterly forecasting and budget reporting, providing high-quality analysis to support strategic planning.
- Contribute to the development of new reporting methods and automation tools to improve efficiency.
- Support the upgrade of financial reporting systems (TM1 and SUN), including testing, migration, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Respond to ad hoc queries from finance and leadership teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial insight.
- Lead or support specific reporting projects, such as cost analysis or compliance reporting improvements.
- Gradually take on additional responsibilities such as drafting board reports and preparing strategic finance summaries as capability develops.
What you’ll need:
- Fully qualified (or finalist level) accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong management accounting experience, ideally with exposure to consolidated or group-level reporting.
- A logical, analytical mindset and the confidence to investigate when things don’t make sense.
- Evidence of improving or streamlining financial processes.
- Good Excel skills and an interest in data structure and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience in a smaller or mid-sized organisation, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and thoughtfully.
