Management Accountant

Up to £55,000 | Permanent | National Charity | London (Hybrid)

Use your finance skills to influence decisions, partner with the business, and support services that make a real impact.

This is more than a Management Accountant role. It’s a true business partnering position where you’ll work closely with operational leaders, taking ownership of a large and varied portfolio and helping shape how key services are delivered.

Why this Management Accountant role will accelerate your career:

  • Business-facing exposure – partner with non-finance stakeholders and influence real operational decisions.
  • Ownership from day one – lead budgeting and reporting for a significant portfolio.
  • Scale and variety – manage £40m+ spend across multiple cost centres and funding streams.
  • Development focus – strong investment in training and progression opportunities.

The key duties of this Management Accountant will be:

  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle, supporting and constructively challenging stakeholders.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, delivering clear insight on performance and variances.
  • Build effective relationships with budget holders, improving financial understanding.
  • Support financial aspects of bids, tenders, and contract activity.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying risks and driving improvements.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experienced in management accounting, including budgets and month-end.
  • Confident working with non-finance stakeholders in a business partnering capacity.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working across a complex organisation.

Location & working pattern:

Based in London with hybrid working (typically 2 days in the office). Some travel required.
