Robertson Bell are supporting a well-established London University to recruit an Interim Student Finance Officer on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with recent Higher Education student finance experience to join a busy and collaborative team during a key period of change and activity.
The organisation is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with direct hands-on experience using the SLC HEI Portal (SIS) and Course Management Service (CMS). This is considered essential for the role due to upcoming changes linked to the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE).
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing SLC processes including attendance confirmations, Changes of Circumstance (COCs) and application maintenance
• Supporting the administration of scholarships and bursaries, ensuring accurate student account adjustments and payments
• Handling student fee and finance related queries through a service desk ticketing system
• Reconciling SLC payments and maintaining accurate student finance records
• Supporting wider student funding administration during peak periods
The successful candidate will:
• Have recent and direct experience using the SLC HEI Portal (SIS) and CMS
• Ideally come from a Higher Education student fees, funding or registry background
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and reactive environment with high volumes of student queries
• Have strong attention to detail and confidence working across finance administration processes
This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with an initial period of increased office attendance to support onboarding and handover.
Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis and the organisation is keen to secure someone as quickly as possible, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
