Are you an experienced Service Charge Finance Officer looking for your next interim assignment? Do you have a strong understanding of service charge accounting within social housing? Are you available to start at short notice?

We're delighted to be supporting a highly regarded Housing Association in the recruitment of an Interim Service Charge Finance Officer on an initial three-month contract. Joining a busy and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring service charge enquiries are resolved efficiently while supporting the wider month-end and service charge accounting processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for service charge finance enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing financial evidence and supporting information to resolve customer queries (section 22)
  • Managing requests relating to statutory service charge information
  • Supporting month-end accounting activities and financial reconciliations
  • Assisting with service charge calculations, adjustments and allocation exercises
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data remains up to date.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation with a strong reputation in the social housing sector, offering a collaborative team environment and the chance to make an immediate impact during a busy period. This is a three-month interim contract, requiring attendance in the London office three days per week, with the remaining time worked remotely. Paid via umbrella company, inside IR35.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a Service Charge Finance role within social housing
  • Good understanding of service charge legislation and accounting principles, and experience dealing with Section 22 notices.
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Available to start at short notice
