Are you an experienced Governance professional available at short notice? Can you confidently run committee meetings and produce high-quality minutes? Looking for a short-term contract where you can make an immediate impact?

We're supporting a well-regarded Housing Association in London with the short term appointment of a Governance professional (Interim Senior Governance Officer) for a six-week contract. This assignment will provide cover during a planned leadership transition, ensuring board and committee governance continues to run smoothly through a busy meeting cycle before handing over to the incoming Governance lead.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the administration of board and committee meetings.
  • Preparing agendas, meeting packs and supporting documentation.
  • Attending committee meetings and producing accurate, high-quality minutes.
  • Supporting the Governance team to ensure statutory and governance obligations are met.
  • Providing continuity and a thorough handover to the incoming Head of Governance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Governance professional seeking a straight-forward short-term interim assignment with a clear remit. You'll join an established team, work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in keeping governance activity running seamlessly during an important transition period. The role is based in Central London with an expectation of attending the office in a hybrid fashion, prioritising being present when committee meetings require.

The role is inside IR35 paid via Umbrella.

To be considered, please meet these criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in Governance, Company Secretarial or Committee Services roles.
  • Strong experience supporting board and/or committee meetings, including agenda preparation and minute taking.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Housing Association governance experience would be advantageous.
  • Available to start at very short notice for a six-week contract.

Interviews will take place as suitable candidates are identified, so if you're immediately available and have the experience to hit the ground running, we'd love to hear from you.
