Robertson Bell is working with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Interim Part Time Procurement Manager. They need someone to stabilise the procurement function during a period of change.

The Role

You'll manage day-to-day purchasing operations, oversee two part-time procurement officers, and lead a critical contract management project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing supplier orders
  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Negotiating supplier discounts and terms
  • Identifying and cataloguing all organisational contracts
  • Loading contracts onto the new service desk contract management system
  • Supporting the organisation's modernisation initiatives

  • Previous procurement experience
  • Communication skills: Diplomatic, calm, solution-focused approach. Ability to navigate competing priorities and resistant stakeholders without creating friction
  • Delivery focus: Can-do attitude; prioritises completion over process
  • Negotiation ability: Proven track record securing value from suppliers
  • Relationship management: Balances empowerment of internal teams with central oversight
