Temporary Finance Officer

Duration: 6 – 12 weeks

Pay: £21 - £24 an hour umbrella

Hours: Part time with hybrid working

We are currently looking for a Temporary Finance Officer to provide support to our finance team on an interim basis, while we recruit to a permanent position.

This is a part-time temporary opportunity, likely for a couple of days per week, with the potential for the arrangement to continue until the permanent role is filled.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day finance support, including:

• Processing and maintaining purchase invoices
• Bank reconciliations
• Supporting routine financial administration
• Assisting with general finance queries and reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Providing wider support to the Finance team as required

About you

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a finance environment who is organised, accurate and comfortable working independently.

You will ideally have:

• Experience of purchase ledger/invoice processing
• Experience of bank reconciliations
• Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work confidentially and professionally
• A proactive and helpful approach to supporting colleagues

This would suit an experienced Finance Officer, Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant who is available for a short-term, part-time assignment.
