Robertson Bell are excited to be partnering with an innovative and community-driven organisation in Kent to recruit a Temporary Housing Officer (Service Charges) for an initial three-month contract. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a motivated team, combining resident engagement with service charge expertise in a varied and rewarding hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the key contact for residents, handling service charge queries with empathy and clarity — both remotely and through face-to-face events across the region.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure actions are up to date, referrals are tracked, and resident concerns are resolved efficiently.
- Attend local events to strengthen tenant relationships, promote understanding, and represent the organisation’s values on the ground.
- Review and interpret service charge data, helping both residents and internal teams better understand costs, changes, and processes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Brings proven experience in housing, with a working knowledge of service charge processes — ideally within a social housing context.
- A confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a natural ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues alike.
- Comfortable working with numbers and data, with solid IT skills and attention to detail when reviewing charges or logging queries.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is happy to travel to resident engagement events across the local area.
