Interim Head of Finance

Are you a hands-on finance leader with the ability to step into a changing environment and provide immediate stability? A charity is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership across the finance function on a 6–9 month basis. This is a key role, offering the opportunity to shape processes, optimise systems and support the organisation through a critical period.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the finance function, overseeing reporting, budgeting, cashflow and audit
• Acting as the internal expert on Business Central, driving improved usage and efficiency
• Reviewing, documenting and enhancing finance processes and controls
• Producing and overseeing high-quality management accounts and financial reporting
• Partnering with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insight
• Supporting the recruitment and transition to a permanent Head of Finance

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience operating at a senior finance leadership level
• Strong technical accounting capability, with a hands-on approach
• In-depth experience with Business Central finance systems
• Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector (desirable)
• Ability to work at pace, manage change and engage effectively with stakeholders
