Are you a technically strong finance professional looking for your next interim challenge? Do you enjoy combining financial reporting with transformation and continuous improvement? Could you add value to a high-performing finance team during a period of significant organisational change?

We're delighted to be supporting a leading Housing Association in the recruitment of an Interim Financial Reporting Manager on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded organisation with a strong control environment, consistently positive audit outcomes and an exciting programme of change ahead, including a major ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements and year-end reporting
  • Contributing to the budget-setting process and wider financial planning activities
  • Leading on technical accounting projects arising from upcoming business change priorities
  • Strengthening financial controls, particularly around central cost centres and balance sheet management
  • Supporting finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Playing a role in ERP implementation and wider systems development
  • Providing leadership and technical support across the finance team as priorities evolve

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and can adapt quickly as business priorities change. You'll work closely with senior finance leaders, helping the team navigate an exciting period of growth whilst maintaining the high standards already established. The successful applicant will work from the attractive office twice per week.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, budgets or ideally both
  • A track record of process improvement and supporting organisational change
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaborative working style
  • Social housing experience would be advantageous but is not essential (those with experience in similarly regulated environments will also be considered)

The organisation is looking for someone to start in the summer or early September on a 12-month interim contract basis. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can combine technical expertise with meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
