Interim Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell is supporting a small, values-driven not-for-profit organisation with a strong social purpose to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant on an initial three-month contract.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong financial accounting expertise in the not-for-profit sector, with year-end right around the corner.

Our client is based in Southwest London and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, which is best accessed by car while public transport is also an option.

Key responsibilities for the interim Financial Accountant will include:

• Preparation of key financial statements in advance of audit
• Managing and reconciling the balance sheet, ensuring all controls are robust and documented
• Supporting the year-end process and external audit, acting as a key point of contact
• Ensuring correct tax treatment, in particular partial exemption VAT

Our client is looking for:

A qualified accountant with a strong track record in financial accounting within the not-for-profit sector. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Experience in preparing financial statements and supporting audits
• Strong balance sheet management and reconciliation skills
• Experience working in a small or medium-sized NFP organisation
• Practical knowledge and application of partial exemption VAT
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
