Interim Finance Systems Transformation Lead

Robertson Bell is working with a large, complex organisation that is embarking on a significant merger and, as part of this, will be migrating onto its partner organisation’s ERP system (Oracle Fusion)

We are looking for an experience Finance Transformation Specialist, specifically in Tier 1 ERP systems, to play a key leadership role in this integration, helping to bring together finance data, processes, reporting and the Chart of Accounts into the new environment.

This is a role that combines senior stakeholder leadership with hands-on finance transformation expertise. The organisation has limited experience of change of this scale within its leadership team and finance function, so you will provide the structure, confidence and direction needed to successfully navigate the transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance function through a significant systems and data migration.

• Provide senior stakeholders with confidence, direction and expert guidance throughout the change.

• Establish and drive the appropriate approach, governance and milestones for the finance transition.

• Guide the team through key stages of the implementation, including data mapping, cleansing and migration, process alignment and Chart of Accounts review.

• Work closely with the partner organisation and its own transformation team to ensure successful integration.

• Act as a hands-on subject matter expert where required, particularly across finance processes, data and reporting.

• Identify risks, dependencies and challenges and ensure these are effectively managed through to implementation.

Experience required

We are looking for someone with a strong background in Finance Transformation, specificaly Tier 1 ERP systems, with proven ability to lead finance functions through complex implementations, upgrades or migrations. 

Experience of Oracle Fusion and/or D365 F&O would be highly advantageous.

You will need:

• Significant experience leading finance teams through large scale systems change. 

• A strong understanding of what a successful finance systems implementation looks like.

• Experience across areas such as data migration, process mapping, Chart of Accounts design/mapping, reporting and data cleansing.

• The ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders and provide leadership through significant organisational change.

• The credibility to work at both strategic and hands-on levels when required.

• A background in finance transformation.

A qualified accountant would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Transformation professional to take a senior leadership role within a complex, high-profile integration programme, with the support of an experienced transformation team already operating within the partner organisation.

The role can be worked fully remotely, from the UK, or in office locations in London and the North East of England.

Target start date will be either September or early October. 

An assessment has been carried out and this role falls within IR35 and will be paid via an Umbrella Company.
