Robertson Bell are working with a busy and fast-moving organisation as they look to recruit an Interim Finance Officer for an initial three-month contract. The organisation has recently implemented Sage Intacct, and due to system challenges and increased workload, they require additional support to help stabilise day-to-day finance operations.

This role will work closely with the existing finance team to clear a backlog of transactional activity, support with daily processing and assist with improving working practices following the system transition. You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative team during a demanding period, so a proactive and solutions-focused approach is essential.

Only candidates with proven Sage Intacct experience will be considered.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase invoices and clearing backlog items across the purchase ledger.
  • Chasing receipts, expenses and outstanding documentation across multiple teams.
  • Supporting card spend and expense workflows, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
  • Resolving system-related issues and helping colleagues navigate Sage Intacct in daily tasks.
  • Liaising confidently across departments to gather information and solve problems quickly.
  • Assisting with general transactional accounting, month-end preparation and other ad hoc duties.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and be comfortable working within a system still bedding in.
  • Bring strong transactional finance experience, particularly within accounts payable.
  • Be comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Have strong communication skills and confidence dealing with multiple stakeholders across different teams.
  • Ideally have experience working with multi-entity or multi-department structures.
  • Possess good accounting knowledge; VAT experience would be a bonus.
  • Charity or commercial sector experience is welcomed — neither is essential.
  • Be available immediately or at very short notice.

This role is offered on a fully remote basis, with regular interaction and support from the wider finance team.
