Robertson Bell are partnering with an organisation undergoing significant change as they recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner to support one of their largest subsidiary entities. This assignment offers a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role during a period of transition, where your input will directly shape improvements in financial ownership, reporting and business partnering.
Supporting senior operational stakeholders, you will act as the key link between finance and the wider organisation — producing management information, supporting budget cycles and helping non-finance colleagues better understand performance and cost drivers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as Finance Business Partner to operational leaders, providing insight, challenge and decision support.
- Producing monthly management accounts, commentary and reports for the subsidiary.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, reviewing draft templates and working with managers to refine assumptions.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and supporting year-end activity.
- Preparing audit schedules and supporting external audit queries.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, rebalance workloads and improve financial ownership across the business.
- Navigating a changing environment and contributing to improvements in financial structures and reporting.
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong Finance Business Partnering experience and enjoy working closely with non-finance stakeholders.
- Be comfortable stepping into an environment undergoing change, with the confidence to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
- Bring solid technical skills around management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and reconciliations.
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ideally have sector experience within housing or charity.
- Be available at short notice and able to hit the ground running.
- Be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience — both will be considered.
This is an exciting interim role with real breadth, ideal for someone who enjoys complexity, partnering with operational teams and bringing order to evolving processes. The role is based in Central London with hybrid working on offer.
If you’re a confident Finance Business Partner seeking a dynamic interim assignment, we’d love to hear from you.
