Robertson Bell are supporting a Public Sector organisation with a strong social purpose based in West Yorkshire to recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner for an initial three-month assignment.
This will be a busy period for finance, entering the budget-setting cycle, and we are seeking an experienced professional who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the organisation’s budget-setting and forecasting activity, working with budget holders to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
- Produce and present insightful management information, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with senior managers to strengthen financial accountability and ensure alignment between resources and strategic priorities.
- Provide advice on financial strategy, risk management, and value-for-money initiatives.
- Support month-end reporting and contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes and systems.
The Successful Candidate
- CCAB-qualified or Qualified by Expeirence, with strong experience in management accounting, financial planning, and business partnering.
- Proven success leading or contributing to budget-setting, ideally within a public sector or not for profit organisation.
- Excellent communicator with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Highly proficient in Excel and financial systems, with a keen eye for detail and analysis.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to deliver meaningful results in a short timeframe.
This is a hybrid role that will require two days per week in the office.
