Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner who thrives on building relationships with operational stakeholders? Do you enjoy combining financial analysis with meaningful business partnering to drive performance and support decision-making? Are you looking for a role where you can make a visible impact across a diverse operational portfolio?
A large health and social care organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role supporting a broad portfolio of operational services across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
This is a true business partnering opportunity, requiring a commercially minded finance professional who can build credibility quickly, challenge constructively and provide meaningful financial insight to operational leaders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary finance contact for a portfolio of operational services
- Building strong relationships with service managers and senior operational stakeholders
- Supporting the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Producing financial analysis and performance reporting to support decision-making
- Reviewing income and expenditure performance and identifying risks and opportunities
- Supporting month-end reporting and management accounting activities where required
- Providing financial challenge and insight to improve operational performance
- Regularly visiting services and engaging directly with stakeholders across the portfolio
The successful candidate will have:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) or be in the final stages of qualification with all examinations completed
- Proven experience operating in a Finance Business Partner role within a medium or large organisation
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence non-finance colleagues
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes
- A proactive and self-sufficient approach, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful operational insight
- Experience within health, social care, not-for-profit or other service-led organisations would be advantageous, but is not essential
The role is based in Aylesbury and will require a minimum of two days per week spent within the office and operational services. Travel expenses incurred whilst visiting services will be reimbursed.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where there is genuine potential for longer-term opportunities beyond the initial 12-month contract.
