Robertson Bell are supporting a local authority to recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner on an initial six-month contract.
This is a specialist opportunity for an experienced local government finance professional with significant Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Leading the financial management of the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG)
• Monitoring budgets, forecasting performance and providing financial challenge where required
• Completing and supporting statutory and government returns
• Contributing to Safety Valve and wider DSG recovery and funding reform plans
• Providing financial advice to senior stakeholders across education and finance
The successful candidate will have:
• Significant experience managing DSG finances within a local authority environment
• Strong understanding of DSG deficits, recovery plans and funding reform programmes
• Current or recent experience in a similar role
