Robertson Bell are partnering with a well-established charity as they recruit an International Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a four-day-per-week basis, with 1–2 days per week spent in their Central London office. This role will support project-led, donor-funded activity and play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, management information and business partnering across international programmes.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting skills alongside the ability to work closely with project managers and non-finance stakeholders. The successful candidate will help bring clarity to project finances, ensure accurate revenue recognition and improve the quality of financial insight provided to both internal teams and external funders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing monthly project-focused management accounts, with clear variance analysis and commentary.
  • Managing revenue recognition for grant-funded and donor-supported projects.
  • Supporting the preparation of funder budgets and translating general ledger data into funder-facing financial reports.
  • Working closely with project managers to review spend, forecasts and budget assumptions.
  • Ensuring key project finance processes (such as timesheet tracking and data inputs) are completed accurately and to deadlines.
  • Strengthening financial controls and improving consistency across project reporting.
  • Acting as a trusted finance partner to programme teams, providing insight and challenge where required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Have strong experience within the charity sector, particularly in grant or donor-funded environments.
  • Bring solid management accounting and business partnering experience.
  • Have a clear understanding of funder reporting, project accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Be confident turning complex financial data into clear, stakeholder-friendly reports.
  • Ideally have an audit background or similar training that demonstrates strong technical grounding and pace.
  • Be proactive, organised and keen to take ownership of a defined area of responsibility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to apply their technical expertise in a project-led, mission-driven environment, with the flexibility of a four-day working week.

If you are an experienced finance professional with strong donor reporting and business partnering skills, we would welcome your application.
