Interim Finance Business Analyst

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record of redesigning processes and improving how systems work together? Can you take a process from AS-IS through to a practical TO-BE solution? Are you able to work regularly on-site in the West Midlands?

We're supporting a large organisation in the recruitment of an Interim Finance Business Analyst to deliver a series of process and systems improvement projects. The immediate priority will be a business-critical process spanning operational and finance systems. You'll get under the skin of how it currently works, identify where and why it is breaking down, and work across teams to design and implement a better solution. Further ERP and finance systems projects are expected to follow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Mapping existing processes and designing improved future-state solutions
• Leading workshops to understand problems, requirements and dependencies
• Translating operational requirements into workable systems and process changes
• Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise ways of working
• Working across Finance, operational teams, IT and third-party systems providers
• Supporting systems integration, testing and UAT
• Taking ownership of issues and driving them through to practical resolution

The big requirement is genuine Business Analyst expertise. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate significant AS-IS/TO-BE process redesign experience rather than a Finance professional who has simply participated in systems projects. The emphasis sits in across process mapping, requirement identification, workshops, then supporting a future ERP implementation and testing.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

• Strong professional Business Analyst experience, including business process re-engineering
• Significant AS-IS and TO-BE process mapping and redesign experience
• Experience working on ERP, systems integration or technology-enabled change projects
• A good understanding of Finance and the ability to work effectively with Finance stakeholders
• Be at least part-qualified in accountancy or AAT qualified
• Be able to commit to a minimum of two days per week in the West Midlands office.
