Pay: £22–£23 per hour via Umbrella

We are working with an organisation in Rugby that is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant for an urgent 6-week interim assignment.

This is an ideal opportunity for an immediately available finance professional with hands-on experience using IRIS PS Financials, who can hit the ground running with minimal or no training.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to the finance team during a particularly busy period, taking ownership of routine transactional tasks and helping to ensure the wider team can focus on key priorities.

The Role

Working as part of a busy finance function, you will provide hands on support across a range of day to day finance administration and transactional duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Inputting invoices accurately into the finance system.
  • Following up outstanding invoices and resolving queries.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice issues where required.
  • Supporting pay administration via apps, including setting up new accounts and configuring options.
  • Providing general transactional finance support to the wider team.
  • Helping to maintain smooth and efficient finance processes during a period of increased workload.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
  • Good understanding of purchase orders, invoices and general finance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and manage routine tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive and flexible approach.
  • The ability to quickly adapt to new environments and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

As the role involves working with vulnerable individuals, appropriate safeguarding and DBS checks will be required.
