Do you enjoy turning complex data into clear insight that drives million-pound investment decisions? Can you spot the story behind the numbers and help senior leaders make smarter, faster choices? Would you thrive in a team that builds thousands of homes every year and needs data to guide every step?

One of the UK’s largest housing associations and a major developer of new homes — is seeking an Interim Development Insight Analyst to bring clarity, intelligence, and structure to how they evaluate and monitor their development and investment programme. This is a 6m contract with a hybrid working pattern.

Sitting within the Finance Directorate and supporting the Investment & Development teams, this role turns raw data into actionable insight — helping shape strategy, guide capital decisions, and ensure they deliver value across a multi-billion-pound portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards that show how development projects are performing on cost, margin, and progress through key gateways
  • Analysing investment performance across regions and tenures to highlight risks, underperformance, and opportunities
  • Translating data into clear recommendations for senior leaders to support investment decisions
  • Working closely with finance, data, and development colleagues to improve the quality and completeness of key datasets
  • Scoping and delivering new reporting tools that make information accessible and easy to act on
  • Acting as a Power BI champion within the organisation, helping modernise how data is used to support decision-making

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves finding patterns, drawing conclusions, and helping others see what the data really means. You’ll play a direct role in guiding how one of the country’s most ambitious housing developers invests in its future homes.

To be considered, please meet these criteria:

  • Strong analytical and data visualisation skills, ideally with Power BI
  • Proven experience generating data-led insight to support business or investment decisions
  • Confident working with financial and performance data in a commercial or development context
  • Excellent communication skills — able to simplify complex analysis for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in the housing, real estate, or construction sectors is desirable; without this, applications should clearly highlight how experience relates.

If you’re ready to use data to help shape the future of housing, apply today or contact me for a confidential conversation.
