Interim Accounts Receivable Officer

Robertson Bell is supporting a respected membership organisation to recruit an interim Finance Officer for an initial three contract. Working closely with the wider finance team, this role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day transactional finance, with a particular focus on accounts receivable and cash allocations during a busy period in the membership cycle.

This is a great short-term assignment for someone confident with finance operations who can hit the ground running, ideally with experience in the not-for-profit or membership sector. Working alongside the Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll provide hands-on support across both AR and AP.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process sales invoices and manage ad hoc client and sponsorship billing
• Allocate income accurately, including high volumes of membership income at peak periods
• Carry out bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of queries
• Assist with chasing payments via email and light credit control
• Support some elements of Accounts Payable, including invoice processing
• Work collaboratively across departments, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy

The successful candidate will:

• Be immediately available or on a short notice period
• Have strong transactional finance experience, ideally with a focus on accounts receivable
• Ideally come from a membership body or charity, with an understanding of cash allocation
• Be confident getting stuck in, with a proactive attitude and strong accuracy under pressure

This role will be based in central London, hybrid working on offer. The organisation is keen to have someone in post swiftly, with interviews to be held as soon as possible
