Interim Accounts Receivable Officer - 4 Days Per Week

Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with a respected organisation within the not-for-profit sector, to recruit an Accounts Receivable Officer for a 6-month contract, working 4 days per week. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated finance professional with strong receivables and debt chasing experience to add immediate value within a supportive team.

The key duties will include:

• Managing a high-volume Accounts Receivable function, with around 50 customer accounts contacted daily.
• Chasing outstanding debts in a professional, proactive, and customer-focused manner.
• Assisting with Accounts Payable responsibilities (c.15% of workload).
• Providing wider support to the finance team, including reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement.
• Producing and maintaining accurate records and Excel spreadsheets to support decision-making.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold an accounting degree or be AAT qualified (or actively studying).
• Have demonstrable experience in Accounts Receivable and debt chasing, ideally with exposure to Payables.
• Be comfortable working with high transaction volumes and tight deadlines.
• Possess strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyse large datasets.
• Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, demonstrating resilience and professionalism.
